CHILD, David Weld, s. Stephen and Sarah, [died] Sept. 20, 1799.
↑ Source:Child, Elias. Genealogy of the Child, Childs and Childe Families, p. 281, claims this child "d. 1816, by a fall which fractured the spine". The Roxbury VRs, however, do have a 1799 death date for this child, as cited. To make its claim work, the Child Genealogy reports this 1799 death as 1798 and applies it to the other David. However, the Roxbury VRs appears to have a separate death for that David, which is different, making that adjustment wrong? Bottom line, no evidence has been found to corroborate the claim of an 1816 death.
