Probably the David Buck who d. 23 Aug 1744 (Manwaring 3:389 not in Wethersfield VR 1:94, FHL 1315118) whose estate administration was granted to Josiah Buck of Wethersfield on 2 Oct 1744. The inventory came to £1538:00:00 (Manwaring 3:389-390)."

    This Josiah Buck was this David Buck's paternal uncle and had previously taken over guardianship of David, after David's mother died, from his stepfather Jonathan Riley.
