David had a serious stroke at IL. Wesleyan Univ. (Normal, IL) July 1983. We visited him at the hospital then and maintained period communications ever since. We met for lunch at the Beef House on I-70 near the IL/IN border when David was capable of walking with assistance. In all, we truly enjoyed the time with David and Marilyn very much and so wish we had been able to interact long before his stroke. As of late 1996 he was quite active as a volunteer tutor in literacy and group counseling for handicapped. He has spent some time studying the travel routes and cultural influences of early U.S. pioneers, an interesting hobby for a music professor. 306 Orlando, Normal,IL 61761.
