This record is consistent with the presence of David and Nancy with sons Armstrong, John and James as well as an unidentified 50-60 year old male. The younger females are consistent with the ages of daughters Elizabeth, Margaret, Ellen, Isabella and Mary, as well as an additional 10-15 year old female.9

Among the expenses was $119.57 for William's expenses "to Virginia", as well as payments to the estates of J.[or I.] N. Beattie and M.R. Beattie.16
Research Comment: In addition to the children listed below, David and Nancy may have had a son named James. He is not mentioned in David's will, but is included in other researcher's reports on the family. James does appear in Andrew County about the same time David and Nancy appear and he was born in Virginia, as was his wife. His age is consistent with the family make up reported by David on the 1830 census. David also did not name a daughter Margaret (Beattie) Ryburn in his will, however she is included below based on her Washington County death record which lists her parents as David and Nancy Beattie. She also named her eldest son David Beattie Ryburn and her second daughter Nancy Clark Ryburn.
