- David Agnew did not live to be an old man, dying soon after the death of his last child at the age of 53 years. After four years of widowhood Mary Agnew married the Rev. Alexander Dobbin, who was then a widower with seven children. This made a combined family of eighteen children. They lived happily together until her death in 1824.
