the are no known dates recorded at Mt. Hope, Family history records her death as 1884 and she was still in the 1880 census.

*NOTE: there are several family trees recording Jane's mother as Mary William "Polly" Geiger Wells. Mary and William married a few days after Jane's birth and Mary is not her mother. It was gratefully brought to my attention by contributor #47274342 that Jane Turner Wells is recorded in history by "American state papers : documents, legislative ... Indian affairs v. 2 1834. United States." The St. Mary's Treaty/Miami Treaty of 1818, records Five of William Wells’s children, including Jane Turner Wells which means they all would have had an Indian mother.

Both of "Apekonita" wives, Sweet Breeze and Wapewonwah Godfroy passed away before Jane Turners birth.
