Daniel Wood was born in Boxford, Massachusetts 13 July 1739 and was a resident of South Berwick, Maine. He died in Shapleigh, Maine 27 June 1819 and is buried in the Maple Grove cemetery in South Acton, Maine. He has a marble stone located back of the church SE corner.
