Hand-Book of Hartwell Genealogy, 1636-1887, p. 159, says "Daniel6, [born] 4 Sept., 1775, drowned 5 June, 1805, fishing in Boston harbor, outside the light-house." But all this information, including the birth date, actually applies to his brother Robert. Daniel was alive in 1813 when the legacies of his father's will were paid out.
