The following is a transcription from page 12 of the 11 May 1916 Simcoe Reformer. [Paragraph breaks added by the transcriber]

The Late D. M. Ostrander

D. M. Ostrander died recently at his home in Tillsonburg after a long period of ill-health.

He was born in Middleton, being a son of the late Squire Ostrander of that township, and was in his seventy-first year.

He was caretaker pf the Tillsonburg Methodist Church for a time and later became janitor of the High School.

At the opening of the new Methodist Church two years ago, Mr. Ostrander suffered a stroke of paralysis, from which he never entirely recovered.

He was married twice. His second wife, who was Mrs. Sarah Clark of Middleton, survives him, also three children of his first wife.

The children are: John of Mineral Point, Wis.; Mrs. Geo. French [sic] of Clinton, Wis.; and Mrs. George French [sic] of Eden.

John Ostrander of Tillsonburg is a half-brother of the deceased, and Mrs. O. E. Twiss of Tillsonburg and Mrs. George Graves of Washington are half-sisters. Transcription by John Cardiff, Norfolk Genealogy
