         Daniel Nelson McLain

Daniel Nelson McLain, age 82 and a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home, 176 South Kendall, this morning at 7:45. He was a member of the G.A.R. and fought with Company C. 12th regiment of the Indiana cavalry. Hi is survived by three daughters, Mrs. H.W. Geer of 176 South Kendall, Mrs. Charles Lankin of Lansing, and Mrs. George Pike of Battle Creek, one son, William McLain of Kalamazoo, and one brother and a sister, Edward McLain and Mrs. Lillian Morrison, both of Kalamazoo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, conducted by the Rev. Lavina Bottomley. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.
