BIRTH: Journal of Daniel Woolsey Kelsey also from "A Genealogy of the Descendants of William Kelsey" by Edward A. Claypool Vol.2 p. 284 states: DANIEL KELSEY (1367), eldest child of Jonas and Sarah Woolsey, was born Apr. 20,1782; died in 1863, at Harpersfield, Ashtabula County,Ohio. He married in 1804, SARAH WOOLSEY, born Jan. 31,1789; died 1861; at Harperfield, Ohio; daughter of Daniel Woolsey (son of Henry) and Anna Halstead, and aunt to Sarah Woolsey, who married Noah Woolsey Kelsey (#1375) This family moved from Rensselaerville, Albany County, N.Y. to Ashtabula County, Ohio some time between 1825 and 1829, probably after 1827. We have no further record of the family, aside from that of James Jonas, who resided at Rome, Ohio. DW Kelsey Journal dated September 3, 1923: Daniel Kelsey's family moved to the state of Ohio in May the 14th, 1830. We moved from Ranyselaerville Albany County state of N.York. Moved to South Side of Grand River April the 8th 1832. 1850 Census of Harpersfield, Ashtabula, Ohio on 1 Aug 1850 p.416 shows Daniel Kelsey (farmer) as age 68 and Sarah as 62, with both birthplaces as N.Y. Their youngest son, Ansel A. age 22 was living with them. 1860 Census of the same location, dated 26 June, shows Daniel and Sarah, age 73 and 71 respectively living with A.
