The Watertown records cited above ^S2 clearly indicate the 1683-4 record is a death on 13 Feb, with no mention of a birth the same day, nor any earlier death record for Daniel to account for Bond reporting a birth on this date. So it is not clear why Bond interpreted this apparently matching birth and death record as two separate sons. It is probably a bookkeeping error on his part, but the original records would need to be consulted to confirm this.
