As a youth worked many places on the farm. In his early manhood, aftermarrying Elizabeth Saul, he rented the well known Forney Farm atEvansville Station. He worked this farm for 28 years, He then moved nearMohrsville for a year, and then moved to the Pearson Farm 3 miles west ofSouth Evansville, where he lived, when he moved to the farm of DanielSaul, near Evansville Station, which he farmed for 18 years. He sold outin 1900 and retired.
