Daniel Clark, Will Transcription In the name of God Amen I Daniel Clark of the Township of Thorold in the County of Lincoln in the District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada Yeoman calling to mind the uncertainty of life, and being weak in body but of sound judgment and of disposing mind and memory do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament in manner and form following First, I do direct my executors hereafter appointed to make sale of all my personal property and the money arising from such sale shall be applied to the payment of my just debts and funeral charges and the overplus if any shall be applied for the schooling and benefit of my children or the survivor of them, and my landed property I give and devised to my said two children namely Nelson Clark and Wilson Clark which said landed property is composed of the south half of lot number two hundred and eleven (211) in the township of Thorold which I give and devise unto my said two sons to be equally divided between them their heirs and assigns forever authorizing my said executors to apply the rents and incomes of said farm towards the schooling and bringing up of my said children allowing my executors to give my said children trades if they or the survivor of them think it would be for the advantage of said sons. In 1794, John Clark was granted 2 lots in Thorold township, Ontario (lots 211 and 212). John Clark died in 1812 and left 6 children under the age of 16. These lots were entered after his death by his eldest son also named John Clark. In subsequent years, 3 Clark men owned the lots: John Clark, Daniel Clark, and Thomas Clark. Daniel Clark named Thomas Clark of Thorold as his brother.
