Brothers John and Daniel Burrier (1819-1901) and their nephew Daniel Burrier (1840-1886) married the sisters Susanna, Barbara and Mary Colar.

    Daniel enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted as a private, age 23 on August 11, 1862. He enlisted in Company H, 98th Infantry Regiment Ohio, on August 21, 1862. Daniel mustered out on June 1, 1865 at Washington, DC.

    In the 1870 census Daniel and his family were living in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. Daniel was listed as a farmer age 30 born in Ohio, his wife, Mary A. age 27born in Ohio, and their daughter Ellen C. age 2 years born in Ohio. There was a Jane Lowmiller age 14 born in Ohio, living with the Burrier's.
