"Daniel Buckingham, son of Rev. Thomas and Hester (Hosmer) Buckingham, born Oct. 3, 1672; … He was for many years Justice of the Peace, and held other important offices in the town, and was also a prominent member of the church. He was a large landholder in Lebanon. He died March 25, 1725, in the 53d year of his age."
