Dale P. Williams, 70, of Harrisburg, passed away on April 18, 2018, at Homeland Center, Harrisburg. He was the loving husband of Elsie (Harsha) Williams. Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he was a son of the late Phillip C. and Ruth E. (Loughner) Williams. Dale was a 1969 graduate of Geneva College. He worked as a District Director for the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of Paxton Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. He was an ordained deacon and elder, taught Sunday School, was part of church men's groups, and served on many church committees. He was a member of Rotary. He was a program coordinator for Harrisburg East Shore Parkinson's Disease Support Group. He was a volunteer and professional in the Boy Scouts of America, including being a Vigil in the Order of the Arrow; earned Professional Knot, a District Award of Merit recipient; a James E. West Fellow, served as a scout master; was summer camp director of day and residential camps; a Wood Badge staff adviser; and served in Moraine Trails, Del-Mar-Va, Knox Trail, Key Stone Area/New Birth of Freedom councils. Dale is survived by his wife; son, Robert D. Williams and wife Elizabeth of VA; daughters, Lorraine Strick of Johnstown, Michele L. Smeal and husband Edward of Willow Grove, and Kimberly M. Myers and husband Paul of VA; brother, David C. Williams of Beaver Falls; grandchildren, Chloe and Ella Smeal, and Kaliah and Aliyah Myers.
