NYE, CYRIL M, Jr

Cyril M "Junior" Nye Jr, 77, formerly of New Riegel, died at 2:35 p.m. Mon day, March 26, 2001, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

He was born March 9, 1924, in Alvada, to Cyril J and Germaine (Goshe) N ye Sr His wife, Bernadine E (Nye) Nye, whom he married April 8. 1947, in O ur Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey, survives in Fostoria.

Survivors also include: five daughters, Mrs. Norman (Nancy) Boes of Fostor ia, Mrs. James (Darlene) Jacoby of Palm City, Fla, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Z ender and Mrs. Don (Margaret) Foster, both of Sycamore and Mrs. Michael (W anda) Magill of Tiffin; four sons, Robert D Nye of Adrian, Wm M Nye of Mel more, Thomas E Nye of Republic and Larry R Nye of Carey; 29 grandchildr en and 33 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Carl and Delbert Nye, bo th of Alvada, Donald Nye of New Riegel and Richard Nye, also of Alvada; a nd six sisters, Mrs. Luke (Mary Lou) Weinandy of Carey, Idella Reinha rt of Fremont, Mrs. Lewis (Eloise) Reinhart of Fostoria, Mrs. Eugene (Donn a) Reinhart of Alvada, Mrs. Ralph (Teresa) Szablewski of Tiffin and Mrs. M arvin (Sharon) Hohman of New Riegel.

Two sisters, Berneda Lichtle and Shirley Daniels, are deceased.

Mr Nye, an avid hunter and fisherman, retired in 1987 as a mechanic from S hultz Motor Sales in Tiffin.

He was a member of the following: St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riege l, a 14-year past president of Sandusky River Coon Hunters, past govern or of the New Riegel Moose, Catholic Knights of OH Branch 52, New Riege l, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Frenchtown; Dad's VFW, Tiffin, and Phea sants Forever of Seneca CO. He was a former member of the Fostoria Unit ed Sportsman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Bonifa ce Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leonard Kistler C.PP.S officiating. T he rosary will be recited at the church at 9:40a.m. Friday. Burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Thursday in the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostori a. A Christian wake service and CK of O memorial service will take place d uring a private family visitation on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church or Seneca CO Pheasants Forever.
