Obituary: Cynthia B. Nurse was born at Littleton, N.H., April 25, 1825, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Wiseman at Millville, March 14, 1900. She was married to James C. Parker Nov 27, 1845. They came to Wisconsin in November, 1855 and settled on the old homestead in the town of Patch Grove where she has resided ever since. She has been staying at her daughter's most of this winter. Her husband died Dec 22, 1884. She was the mother of seven Children, six of whom are still living. Fred R., the youngest son, was killed by lighning July 7, 1893. Those living are Mrs. Edward Wiseman, Millville; Ornton Parker, Patch Grove; Mrs A. W. Arnett, North Platte, Neb.; Jas. M. Parker, Lake Geneva, Wis.; Mrs. A. C. Bean, Bridgeport, Wis.; and Mrs. C. F. Dickinson of Lancaster; all of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Arnett who was unable to be present. She also leaves nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted at the Wiseman home on Thursday by Rev. Leroy Ellis of Patch Grove and a large number of friends were gathered there to pay their last respects to her memory. She was placed to rest in the Nagle cemetery in Patch Grove. References
