- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 The birth record is not found in the Newbury VRs, and it is not clear how a precise birth date is known, if none was recorded. However, the birth date fits in the family and is appropriate for the marriage date that is recorded.
The death is given as Aft 13 Sep 1760 on some websites, which since no death record is found, suggests the qualifier was lost as this data was repeatedly copied. The basis for this statement is still unknown, however, as no probate file is found, nor any deed found, after searching the obvious places, that would explain it.
It seems likely that the middle name Noyes is an artifact of some researcher's assumption that Cutting was named after his uncle Cutting Noyes (which he probably was), but middle names were very rare at the time, and none of the records found give any indication that Cutting had one, or that it was Noyes.
