Creed Ledington Birth: 9 Oct 1930 Englewood, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA Death: 2 Oct 2018 (aged 87) Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, USA Burial: Old Bon Air Cemetery, Bon Air, White County, Tennessee, USA Memorial #: 193705080 Bio: Mr. Creed Ledington, age 87 of Englewood, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Dayton, Ohio.Creed received Christ as his Savior, and was baptized in his teens. A number of years later he rejoiced in the experience of Holiness. He served the Lord Jesus faithfully and was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church.Creed was a construction worker (laborer) with the Local Union 1410, and enjoyed being an active church member, even preaching sermons and helping with other church duties. His unwavering faith and love for Christ will be a cherished memory for many at the Dayton Brethren in Christ Mission. Left to mourn Creed's passing are three loving sons John D. Ledington (Marti Kay) of Laura, Ohio, Steven Ledington Reed (Richard) of Murray, Kentucky, and William D. Ledington (Christie) of Woodington, Ohio. Also survived by daughter in law, Ruby Ledington, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania. Creed is also survived by four grandchildren, whom are Thaddaeus Creed, Kayla Loreen, William David and Cherokee Rose. Rikki Dee is also very special to him. Additionally he is survived by two sisters and one sister in law, Janie Thompson and husband Don, Amanda Miracle and husband Ralph, and Shirley Ledington. He is also survived by one brother in law, Robert Disney and wife Kathy.Also remaining are a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends.Preceding Creed in death are his wife, Betty, his parents, Claude Ledington and Rose Conner, and one brother, Cecil Ledington.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Friday, October 5, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Bon Air Cemetery.
