  4. Source:White, Thomas. Ancestral Chronological Record of the William White Family from 1607-1608 to 1895, p. 245, appears to contradict its own information giving incorrect information about Cornelius. It says Cornelius was a s/o John White and Susanna Sherman, b. 11 Feb 1711. But no such birth record is found, and John White, who d. 1753, did not name a son Cornelius in his will, nor does the author list a son Cornelius in his coverage of that couple on p. 33.

The paragraphs before this error are talking about a John White who is killed by Indians in Brookfield 24 Jul 1710 and his sons John and Cornelius. The name of the wife is not given, but it was Prudence (Hayward), and this is the correct Cornelius. He was born in Concord Jan 1710/11, not Feb., and returned to Brookfield about 1732.
