    KOOY, Cornelia "Katie," age 80, of 307 N. 9th St., Lynden, passed away on Tues. Oct. 2, (1979). Born in Vesper, Wisconsin, Mrs. Kooy was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church in Lynden, and had also been active in the Lynden Christian Resthome Auxiliary. She was married to her husband John in Lynden on Feb. 24, 1920. After their marriage they moved to Alberta, Canada, and returned to the Lynden area in 1946. She is survived by her husband John, 4 sons, Ralph, John Jr., Harold & Don, all of Lynden; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Lena DeBoer of Lynden; a brother Mr. Dick Geleynse of Bellingham; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Fri. Oct 5 at 2 p.m. in the Third Christian Reformed Church, Rev Gerrit Scheers officiating. Burial will follow in Monumenta Cemetery. [b. April 9, 1899]
