7 Feb 1968, p23 - Mrs. Pitman Dies At 90 - Mrs. Cordelia T. Pitman, 90, 71 17th St. died at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday in her home. She had been in ill health several months. Born Sept 23, 1872 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Dr. John F. and Mary Wright Thompson. Her marriage was to Charles Pitman, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Pitman was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and a life member of New Castle Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She also was a former member of Tourist Club and League of Women Voters. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Thompson, with whom Mrs. Pitman made her home, and Mrs. Archie Kahan, Denver, Colo. and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the McCloskey-Hamillen-Kathe Funeral Home, the Rev. Irving Phillips officiating, with burial at New Castle. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
