I have come to believe Cordelia's death certificate is in error about her age. Someone has written in that she died at age 30. But the cemetery listing for Knotts Cemetery, Calhoun County has her buried beside her husband George and the death date on the tombstone is the same as on the death certificate. Her birth date is taken from the 1900 census and the 1910 census agrees with that. Also see below the birth record of her daughter Flora Gay has the mother's name as Delia Shorts Knotts.

There is no cemetery by the name of Rush Run in Roane County or Calhoun County. Perhaps it was a local nick-name. But the cemetery listing has her buried beside her husband in Knotts Cemetery, Calhoun County, WV. Cemetery listing: George Warren Knotts - 1868 - 1968 Cordelia Knotts - 1870 - 1923
