Obituary

Mansfield paper, Mon 7 Dec 1953, pg 7, col 1&2 .. died 6 Dec 1953 Mrs Cora SMITH ADAMS, 82, widow of Samuel M ADAMS, died at her home, 180 1/2 Buckingham St, yesterday morning following a heart attack. Mrs ADAMS was born in Bellville 28 Dec 1870, the daughter of Adam and Lavina CHRONISTER SMITH and had lived in this area her entire life. She was a member of the Mayflower Congregational church. Surviving are three sons, Harry E and Albert L ADAMS of Mansfield and Clarence M ADAMS of Carsonville, MI; two daughters, Mrs LJ THEM of Mansfield and Mrs Hazel E ELDER of Hazel Park, MI; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the JH Finefrock and Sons Funeral home at 1:30 pm Tuesday with her pastor, Rev AF Lindbeck, in charge. Burial will be in Mansfield cemetery.
