Obituary[2] 11 Dec 1940 PHILLIPS---Mrs. Cora McLaughlin Worcester, wife of Dr. Embert Worcester, died at her home Monday evening after many weeks of illness.
The daughter of Mrs. Mima McLaughlin, she was born in Phillips, Dec. 8, 1904, and has always been a resident of the town. She was married to Dr. Embert Worcester, Oct. 2, 1926.
Besides the husband and mother, she leaves a young son, Russell, grandfather, Zachery McLaughlin, two aunts, Mrs. Bonney Webber and Mrs. Lilla Sweetser, uncles, Elwin, Carl, and Charles McLaughlin, cousins, Mrs. Revalo Warren and Coleman Webber ot this town, and Mrs. Opal Smith of Springvale, and several other cousins.
Last January she was a patient at the Deaconness hospital in Boston where she underwent an operation. On returning home she was apparently better for some time, but several weeks ago she returned to the hospital for another operation.
She was a member of the King's Daughters, Farm Bureau, Park Street club, Hope Rebekah lodge, and although not a member of the Baptist church, she has always been interested in the work of the church and a helper.
