About Columbus Buchanan

Sergeant Columbus McDonald Buchanan

He was a member of the 63rd Virginia Infantry[1] (McMahon's), Company F, which was part of the Army of Tennessee. He survived the war and is buried in Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery in Glad Spring, Virginia. I am not for certain that he is buried there because his headstone is part of a triple monument along with that for his wife and daughter.
