Oct. 18, 1929 -- March 4, 2004 HARTWELL, Ga. -- Colleen Tucker Denman, 74, of 88 Kelsey Drive died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson. Born in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late John Woodson and Lillie Mae Craft Tucker. She was retired with 25 years of service from Gip's Manufacturing, Hartwell, and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and former Sunday school teacher. Surviving are son, Barry T. Denman of Lawrenceville; daughters, Janet D. Rogers, Donna D. Fain, and Sherry D. Cordell, all of Hartwell, and Suzanne D. Jones, of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Deloan Denman, an infant son, Malcom Denman; a daughter, Debbie Denman; brothers, Hugh, Orin and J.W. Tucker; and sisters, Lorene Shirley, Wilma Curlee and Doris McKinney. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home by Dr. Don Harper, the Revs. Ted Kelly and Harry Warren; burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.
