Clyde L. Conner, 85, a resident of McCleary for 30 years, died at a local hospital August 20. He was born May 24, 1889 in Wyoming and was employed by Simpson Timber Co. in McCleary for several years, retired in 1955. He was a member of the McCleary Grange.
Survivors include his wife, Lela, at the family home; a sister, Mrs. Grace Gano of Yakima; a brother, Earl Conner of Ellensburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gladys Fattig of McCleary; four stepsons, Edwin Cooke of Cave Junction, Oregon, Gordon Cooke of Port Angeles, Ellsworth Cooke of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Jim Cooke of O'Brien, Oregon, and a niece, Mrs. Grace Smith of Tacoma.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Whiteside Chapel, Elma with the Rev. William Kennedy officiating. Services were concluded at the Chapel, Elma with the Rev.
