Clifford Sumner Whitington, born Oct 15, 1892, Owingsville, Bath county, Kentucky was my grandfather. I have his birth cert. that spells his name, Whittington. Grandpa always said his dad, Thomas Richard dropped one "t". Some of us use double "t" and some use single "t". Makes tracing interesting. Tom's tomb stone is Whitington! Thank you,
