Obituary; Cleo V. Smith, 72, Risingsun, died Friday in Toledo Hospital, following a one-year illness. He was born July 24, 1908, in Bradner to Oria and Maude( Brandon ) Smith. He married Florence Iler on December 23, 1933, in Port Huron, Michigan and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs Wesley (Jeane) Welty, Risingsun; one brother Kenneth, Lamona, Iowa, and four grandchildren. Mr. Smith was a retired truck driver for 35 years. He was also retired from American family Assurance Co., as a saleman for six years. He was a member of the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Bradner. He was former paster and elder of that church, and a member of Teamsters Local 20, Fremont.
