[edit] Information on Clement TriggFrom Genforum.com post: Re: Clement Trigg-MD-VA-WV Posted by: Doris Date: May 26, 2001 at 13:45:07 In Reply to: Re: Clement Trigg-MD-VA-WV by William R. Emerson of 495 William, the information cited in my message I personally located in the following sources: Fauquier County Will Books;Fauquier County Order Books; published Fauquier County Court Records; published family(Bullitt and Harrison) histories; Berkeley County Marriage and Will Records;Kanawha County Chancery Records; Kanawha County Deed Books; Kanawha county Personal Tax and Land Tax Records; and Augusta County Superior Court Records. My direct ancestor Sarah Bronaunt, the daughter of Thomas Bullitt and Martha Bronaunt, was under the age of eighteen years when her father(Bullitt) wrote his will in 1775. Sarah, was bound to Elizabeth Young in 1759 in Fauquier County, VA. Sarah married William Medley and had a family; Medley died in Berkeley County where his will was probated 21 Jan. 1794. She married second:Clement(Clem)Trigg in that same county on 10 Sept. 1794. They moved to Maryland. Circa 1806 Sarah and Clement along with their family moved to Charleston in Kanawha County,(West)Virginia where they settled on land bequeathed to her by her father Thomas Bullitt(died 1778). Sarah died in Kanawha County in 1825. Sarah Bronaunt was still a child in 1759 and 1775. I descend from Sarah and William Medley. |
