She was born on January 19, 1949 in Teague, Texas, the daughter of Carl Elvin and Gladys Marie Bottoms. Claudia taught at Pond Springs Elementary for the past fifteen years. Claudia is survived by her husband, Ronald Jackson of Austin; sons, Stephen Jackson and wife Melinda of Jonestown; Richie Jackson and wife Aime of Austin; grandchildren, Kayla, Haley, Alan, and Christopher; her parents, Carl and Gladys Bottoms of Winnie, Texas; three sisters all of Winnie, Texas, Glenda Rogers and husband Bobby, their sons, Glenn Ray and Terry and grandchildren; Karen Thompson and husband Danny, their children, Darin and Karla, and grandchildren; Norma Lambert and husband Hal, their children, Shelly and Trey, and grandchildren; and one brother of San Antonio, Carlton Bottoms and wife Rosa, their children, Stacy, Michelle, Tonya, Teffany, Thara, and Michael, and grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 10, 2001, in the Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park Location. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2001 at Beck Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Hodges and Rev. Joe Paul Granberry officiating. Interment will be held at 4:30 P.M. Saturday in Salty Cemetery, Rockdale , Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Claudia Jackson may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2433-A Ridgepoint Dr., Austin, TX 78754.
