This scholarship is dedicated in honor of Brother Claude Hummel, '30, by his son, Brother Bob Hummel, '58, as the scholarship donor. Brother Claude Hummel was a moving force in the building program of the current house a 153 E. 14th Ave, and was a long time member of the Townshend Alumni Board of Trustees. One $3000.00 scholarship will be awarded annually to a junior/senior active member of Alpha Tau Zeta at The OH State University. The scholarship will be selected at the end of Spring Quarter for the following academic year. The recipient must have completed six or more quarters of full-time enrollment with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the end of Spring Quarter 2002. The recipient will be selected by a committee designated by The OH State University Alpha Tau Zeta Alumni Association trustees. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of scholarship, character, contribution to Townshend Alpha Tau Zeta, and contribution to and leadership in collegeand university activities. The award will be made one-third increments at the beginning of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters through the Office of Student Financial Aid from the Claude Hummel ATZ scholarship Fund. Please submit this application to Dr. Pat Whittington, Agricultural Administration Building, Room 100 by March 1, 2004.The recipient will be recognized at an appropriate Alpha Tau Zeta function during the AutumnQuarter by the Hummel family.
