[Note: the day of the month in the birth is a little unclear. It looks most like a 7, but cases can be made for a 4, or less likely a 5 without the crossbar on top. The Find A Grave memorial gives this as 14 Sep 1825, but the gravestone only contains the year of birth and death, 1825-1829, so that simply appears to be their interpretation. Allred, p. 208, gives 19 Sep 1825, but it is pretty clear this is not a valid interpretation by comparing it to the death date. Find A Grave also gives the middle name as Prudence, but it is not clear what that is based on since neither the birth record nor gravestone have anything other than a middle initial.]
