    Miss Clarinda Armstrong died on Thursday last from heart trouble and grip, aged 83 years. She was a lifelong resident of this town and was the last of her family. She was a member of the Baptist church and was a regular attendant in her younger days. She has been cared for in late years by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Root. The funeral occurred Monday, the Rev. Marvin officiating. A nephew from the west was called here by her death. She is survived by nephews and nieces. The body was placed in the receiving vault of the Springfield Center cemetery.

    ARMSTRONG, Miss Martha Clarinda: (undated) Martha Clarinda Armstrong died at Springfield Centre, at the home where she was born, at 5:30 p.m. March 12th of complications following the grip. She was sick only a few days and was eighty years and four months old. She was the last one of her family and was never married. She is survived by two nephews, Ralph Armstrong of Nebraska and Levi Armstrong of Illinois. The funeral was held at her home Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. the Rev. T. J. Marvin officiating and the burial made in our cemetery. Relatives present from out of town included R. A. Armstrong of Bassett, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Whipple of Frankfort, Mrs. Mae Tunnicliff of Johnstown, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Rott [Root?] and son of Oaksville and Mrs. Amanda Minkler, Mrs. Sanford Tunnicliff and daughter of Warren.
