Obituaries C. RITTENHOUSE, OF NUNICA, DIES Clarence Rittenhouse, Nunica, died Saturday at Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. He was 75 and was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago. Born Oct. 1 1887 in Paris Township, Kent County, he moved from Coopersville to the Nunica area in 1936. He married the former Mary Alma Correl, March 25, 1908. She died Feb. 21, 1953. Mr. Rittenhouse was employed at the E.H. Sheldon Co., Muskegon, as a wood finisher, retiring in 1956. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Fruitport. SURVIVORS include five daughers, Mrs. Guy (Mildred) Hitsman of Muskegon Heights, Mrs. L. Walter (Ellen) Vink of Nunica, Mrs. George (Myrna) VanderVelde of Coopersville, Mrs. William (Eva) Boyko of Fruitport and Mrs. James (Lila) Buist of Nunica; two sons, Clyde of Nunica and Clayton of Spring Lake; 34 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchilren; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Mae) Clark of Grand Rapids and a brother, George of Nunica. Mr. Clarence Rittenhouse, age 75, passed away Saturday evening. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Kammeraad Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Lemmen officiating. Interment will be made in the Fruitport Cemetery. The family will be at the Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday evenings between 7 and 9 o'clock, where relatives and friends may call.
