Obituary CLARENCE E. MCHATTEN MARS HILL - Clarence E. McHatten, 57, died at a Presque Isle hospital July 23, 1982. He was born in Rosedale, N.B., July 6, 1925, the son of Norman E. and Carrie V. (Saunders) McHatten. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Woodstock Branch of the Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, Mona (Stoddard) McHatten of Mars Hill; three sons, Carl of Limestone, David of Centerville, N.B., and Donald of Houlton; one daughter, Mrs. John (Virginia) Griffin of Presque Isle; two brothers, Arnold of Rosedale, N.B. and Clifford of Toronto, Can.; one sister, Mrs. George (Eva) Molt of St. John, N.B.; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Duncan Funeral Home 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Whitfield Curtis and Rev. Philip Q. Mather officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home 3-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Tapley Cemetery, in Blaine. Friends who wish may donate to the Aroostook Medical Tumor Clinic.
