Clarence R. Heidler Jr., age 74, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in the Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. He was born Sept. 7, 1928, in North Huntingdon, a son of the late Clarence R. Sr. and Mayfred Luther Heidler. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the U.S. Marines. He was an elder of the United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Irwin, and a member of the American Legion, Manor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Buzzard. He is survived by his wife of more than 53 years, Lorraine Pack Heidler; also nieces and nephews, including Mildred Pruitt. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Reid Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
