Facts and Events
Having found some of my notes - here is what Clara remembered in September, 1980. Her mother had a sister in Michigan who had diabetes. Name was Stella Guzik, lived in Ontonogan, Hurley, or Ironwood, somewhere in that area. She had 4 girls and 2 boys. There was a brother back in Poland. As she recalled, the name had always been Marshall (she was the youngest). They belonged to St. Stanislaw church in Superior, lived on a farm south of Superior, raised bees. Andrew's first wife died of dropsy/bad kidney. Joseph and Anna married in Duluth on September 9 ----. He worked on coal docks, then farmed in Billings Park before moving out. Clara was pretty vague about anything in the past. She did tell me all the kids and their kids and dates. One of her nieces has pictures, but i did not pursue it. I will have to transcribe the names and dates for you - there were several children. (It is terrible I have not done this long ago.) Clara did not go to high school and did odd jobs, lived at home with the parents. Judy My written written records show a Mary Marshall married to a Cahill. Don't know where this came from and Cahill nor Mary is in my Computer. But There are a bunch of Cahills buried in F-23 in Calvary Cemetery, Superior. But they were born probably too late to be a grandchild of Joseph Marshall.
