Buchanan News Mr and Mrs Edgar Mayes, of Pico Revera, Calif., are spending several weeks here with the latters aunt, Mrs. Tamerson C Binns, who is ill. They plan to remain here until October.

Buchanan Community Guests at the monthly social meeting of Carlisle-Hanley-Bunker Circle of the Grand Army of the Republic in the home of Mrs Meryl Lintner were Mrs Minnie Nagle and daughter, Barbara, of Chicago, and Mr and Mrs Harold Lintner of Buchanan. Games were arranged by the hostess and favors were awarded to Mr and Mrs Edgar Mayes, Mrs Tamerson C Binns, Mrs William J Burgoyne, Mrs Virginia Wallace, Mrs C. E. Ailsworth, Mrs Elmer Clark, Mrs Dwight Markham, Mrs Henry Smith and the guests. A business meeting was announced for September 12.

The Herald Press, St Joseph, MI Aug 16, 1961 Buchanan Mrs Edgar Mayes and daughter, Tamerson, were hostesses at the meeting of Carlisle-Hanley-Bunker Circle of the Grand Army of the Republic Monday evening in the home of Mrs Tamerson C Binns. During the short business meeting conducted by Mrs Meryl Lintner tentative plans were made to sponser a benefit party early in October. Mrs Virginia Wallace was appointed to make the arrangements. A social meeting was slated for August 28 in Mrs Lintner's home. The entertainment was in the form of games and the guest prize was awarded to Mrs Arthur Spinetta. Other winners were Mrs Gertrude Conrad, Mrs Elmer Clark, Mrs Wallace, Mrs Dwight Markham, and Mrs John Ochenryder.
