Clair, 41 years old, dropped dead as he was going for his dinner after work. He was working at the Baldwin Locomotive works in Philadelphia, PA., where he had gone to be with his children, who were living with their grandmother. He was born in the Town of Genesee, Allegany County, NY and was a farmer, until giving it up after the death of his wife(Lettie) in 1917. The names of the grandmother and his children are not stated, but he was also survived by a brother, Truman Hall of Ceres, NY. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian Church in Bolivar on December 15, 1920.
