    Christopher was the son of Samuel and Ketturah Sutton Shipley. He was baptized on August 14, 1785 in the Saint James Protestant Episopal Church in Bailtomore, Maryland. He married Elizabeth Rutherford, daughter of Randolph Rutherford. He died in 1830, McMinn County Tennessee, and is buried in unknown cemetery at this time. They had 10 children.
