Dekalb County Man Dies From Cancer of the Stomach Christopher Dick, A Well Known Resident of Richland Township, Will be Buried on Monday Afternoon Christopher Dick, a farmer living in Richland township, died Friday afternoon at 5:30 from what is presumed to be cancer of the stomach. Mr Dick, at the time of his death was 55 years of age, and died on the farm where he was born 55 years ago. Mr Dick had been ill for over a year caused by the malady which caused his demise. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Richland Center; and was also a worker in the Gleaners. Mr. Dick was married to Florinda Groh March 16, 1890, in Richland township, and a daughter, Fay Ditmars was born to them. Beside the daughter, there remain of the family, a sister, Samantha Graham, of Battle Creek; a half sister, Martha Coy, of Indiana, PA; and a half brother John Dick, of Canton, OH. The father and mother of the deceased have both died. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home in Richland township, the Rev. S. E. Slater of Auburn, officiating and burial will be made in Union Cemetery, North of Garrett.
