You´re proberbly surprised of getting post from Juergen Matrisch from Germany. I bet you thing, "how did he find me?" We found you in the Internet, and as there aren´t so many Matrisch´s in Germany (about 50 families), I thing there are more in USA. Those who imigrated in the 18th century. The first members of this family were from Mensguth / Samplatten in Ostpreusen-Masuren. I´ve got a document belonging to Gregor Matrisch from the 17th September 1696, who was noble from Royal blood. I also have a book in which all Matrisch´s who lived from 1663- 1840, are listed. The family farm had a size of a 1000 acres, which is now managed by a polnisch family, who we visited allready. I would be very happy to hear from you. I would like to get to know about your ancestors. We left our home Masuren on the 20th Jannary 1945 and now we live in Nordrheinwestfalen (Germany).

There was a Christoph Matrisch into Samplatten and its Mrs Katarina born Morgin its son Michael born 9.10.1776 died Samplatten 15.5.1840, he married on 7.11.1801 its cousin Elisabeth Matrisch born 16.10.1776 died Samplatten???? whose parents were Michael Matrisch and Anke born Skupin. Michael and Elisabeth had eight children.
