Hello,

I found your database on World Connect and noticed you have the family of Jerome E. Swim and Sena R. Henderson. I have some information on this family if you are interested. My information comes from the death certificate of Christina Henderson Swim and several of her children.

Christina is the same person as your Sena R. Henderson. The name was probably Tena in the census and was misread when transcribed. Christina's death certificate states she was the widow of J. L. Swim and her parents are given as Robert Henderson of Ky and Phoebe Bear of Ky. Her husband's name is stated as Jerome Swin on other documents so I have recorded him as Jerome L. Swim. Christina died in 1944 and was buried in the Johnson Cemetery, Huntington, Cabell Co., WV. This cemetery was removed in the 1960's to make room for Interstate 64. I believe Christina, and other family members who were buried in Johnson, were all reburied in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Wayne Co., WV around 1964. I have a written source from a cemetery book that was printed in 1989 that list her name as one moved to Dock's Creek, but I have never been there or seen any tombstone for her. Two of her sons, William Robert and Phillip S. Swim, along with several grandchildren were also moved to Docks Creek. Email me if you would like more information and copies of these death certificates.

Regards, Candie Freeman
