"Per my father, Chris and Martha lived on the 3rd floor at 168 Norwood Avenue when dad was young. Chris repaired trolley cars in Ridgewood, and was always in the cellar "chopping wood" (making homemade beer). - CFS

"Chris had two sisters (Lottie and Madeleine); interred in St. John's Cemetery; 53 at time of death; DOB and DOD - all per 1/27/98 conversation with Marie Prechtl, daughter. The graves of Martha and Chris are located two rows over from the Reuss gravesite - Harriet Stokes.

"Received picture of the wedding party at Chris and Martha's wedding from Martha Gilhooley - CFS. Sent copy to Marie Prechtl, and her return letter, dated Apr 29 1998, identified each of the individuals in the photo. Minnie Schretzmann, Bill Scheuering, Martha and Chris, and Elizabeth Menges from left to right in rear; Gus Menges, Charlotte Scheuering and Charles Schretzmann in the front. Per her letter, her late brother Frank's wife knew the Scheuerings well, and met her brother through them. She identified everyone in the picture.

"Frank and his wife lived at 168 Norwood Avenue until the house was sold after Arthur Devine's death. They then moved to Riverhead, next to Marie Prechtl. Martha and her two husbands all lived at 168 Norwood until their respective deaths - Marie Prechtl. "
