He was an industrious farmer, a devoted husband, a loving father, a worthy citizen, and an exemplary neighbor and Christian. He never united with any church. He occupied a farm of 80 acres in Richland Twp., DeKalb County, Indiana, which he earned and improved by unremitting toil. His was a life of privations, such as the present generation can have no conception of. He was buried in the church yard at Green's corners, the place where he used to worship.
