... Christian FEBIGER, the eldest of the four children, was born December 25, 1817, and died January 15, 1892. His home was in Wilmington, Del., where he was extensively engaged in business enterprises of large magnitude, being at the time of his death president of the Delaware Railroad Company, president of the Delaware Insurance Company and director of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad. He served during the Civil War as Lieutenant Colonel of the Fifth Delaware Regiment. He married April 23, 1844 Sarah TATMALL, daughter of Edward and Marjorie (nee PAXSON) TATMALL, and was the father of three children, of whom only one reached maturity, Christopher Carson FEBIGER, 3421 Powelton Avenue. ...
